Spaghetti Version

              C G
On top of spaghetti, All covered with cheese,
                 D G
I lost my poor meatball, When somebody sneezed.

                  C G
It rolled off the table, And onto the floor,
            D G
And then my meatball, Rolled right out the door.

                  C G
It rolled onto the sidewalk, Then into the street,
                D G
And now my poor meatball, Is too dirty to eat.

                 C G
It rolled in the garden and under a bush
                  D G
And then my poor meatball was nothing but mush

                   C G
Oh the mush was as tasty, as tasty could be
               D G
And early next summer it grew into tree

                  C G
The tree was all covered with beautiful moss
                D G
And full of the meatballs and tomato sauce

                 C G
So if you eat spaghetti all covered with cheese
                D G
Hold on to your meatball and don't ever sneeze.

Blue Waters Version

              C G
On top of blue waters, all glistening with sun,
                 D G
I dropped my blue sailboat, oh what I have done.

                  C G
It floated away swiftly, and out to the sea,
            D G
And now my blue sailboat, is far away from me.

                  C G
It sailed past the harbor, and into the deep,
                D G
And now my blue sailboat, is lost in the sleep.

                 C G
It danced with the dolphins, beneath the blue sky,
                  D G
And then my brave sailboat, waved a soft goodbye.

                   C G
Oh the sea is so vast, as vast as could be,
               D G
And now my blue sailboat, lives wild and free.

                  C G
The sea keeps her secrets, where lost sailboats roam,
                D G
But someday my sailboat, will find its way home.

                 C G
So if you have a sailboat, all shiny and new,
                D G
Hold tight to your tiller, and watch the deep blue.

Green Meadows

              C G
On top of green meadows, under skies so blue,
                 D G
I lost my red kite, as it flew and it flew.

                  C G
It soared over treetops, and rivers so wide,
            D G
And then my red kite, slipped away with the tide.

                  C G
It danced with the wind gusts, then into a cloud,
                D G
And now my red kite, is lost but unbowed.

                 C G
It floated through valleys and over a crest,
                  D G
And then my brave kite, finally took a rest.

                   C G
Oh the rest was so peaceful, in a tree it did cling,
               D G
Now each time I pass, I hear the wind sing.

                  C G
The tree cradles softly, my kite among leaves,
                D G
And whispers of journeys, like a soft-spoken breeze.

                 C G
So if you fly kites, high above with such ease,
                D G
Keep a watch on the wind, and stay clear of the trees.

Heartbreak Version

              C G
On top of heartbreak, all covered in tears,
                 D G
I lost my dear lover, amidst all my fears.

                  C G
They slipped through my fingers, like sand in the breeze,
            D G
And left my heart lonely, and weak in the knees.

                  C G
They moved to the city, far out of my reach,
                D G
And now my poor heartache, has plenty to preach.

                 C G
They danced in the moonlight, with somebody new,
                  D G
And left me with memories, of all that we knew.

                   C G
Oh the nights are so long, as long as can be,
               D G
And my tears are the ocean, as deep as the sea.

                  C G
The days grow so quiet, where laughter once lay,
                D G
But hope kindles softly, and will find its way.

                 C G
So if you love deeply, all joyful and free,
                D G
Guard well your heartstrings, and let them not flee.

Hacker Spoof

              C G
On top of secure systems, all covered with logs,
                 D G
I lost my root password, in digital fogs.

                  C G
It slipped through the cracks, and into dark web,
            D G
And then my credentials, got caught in a ebb.

                  C G
They hacked through the firewall, with nary a trace,
                D G
And now my poor server, has lost its safe space.

                 C G
It wandered through networks, and under a breach,
                  D G
And then my poor data, was far out of reach.

                   C G
Oh the breach was so silent, as silent could be,
               D G
And by the time I noticed, it was on a spree.

                  C G
The bits were all scrambled, with ransomware neat,
                D G
And full of the messages, bitter and sweet.

                 C G
So if you build systems, robust and with flair,
                D G
Keep your guards up, and always beware.
